MONICA (MON)

You may think that the name of this website is Mon Ministries because of my nickname, but it’s not. My story is a beautiful story of how God connects the dots for us and never forgets our first YES.

As an entrepreneur for over 30 years, I have learned a thing or two about striving, workaholism, seeking others approval, perfectionism, moving from one goal to the next, thinking the next idea was the one that would fix all my problems, letting the worldly model of business consume me, and the list goes on and on. Can you relate?

This was the description of the old me until Jesus called me back from my 27 years in the wilderness into an invitation to partner with Him in life and business.

You see, my degree in Religious Studies from a prestigious university at the age of 24 with two kids on my hips meant nothing if I wasn’t partnering with Him in life. My dream was to become a youth minister and with the littles who needed me, it was just too much so I threw myself instead into the entrepreneurial life.

One after the other each business was an excitement and a disappointment. I thought the next one would be the one that would bring me peace, happiness, and security for my family. In the end, it would be swept under the rug as another good attempt to find my purpose until December of 2019 when God chose my word of the year as I was walking across my bedroom.

2020 was the worst year for most, but I can honestly say that it was the best year of my life. God called me out of a life full of distractions and reminded me of my first yes when He was truly my first love.

He instructed me to go live every day that year sharing His word. I hadn’t done that since I was in my 20’s. I had every reason to say no, but I decided to be obedient and started on Jan. 1st, 2020. Oh, and that degree that I have, He threw it out the window. When I was about to press the live button He completely erased the bible and all my studies from my brain. 😳 He said that I had learned all that from my head and that He was going to wipe the slate clean and start in my heart.

Long story short, He showed up every day . 426 days straight. Rain or shine, healthy or sick, He showed up for everyone watching, but mostly for me. He showed me what life with a faithful promise keeper looked like and what a gift obedience was.

I couldn’t go back to a life where I had to do it all on my own.

I changed my business to be centered on faith-led entrepreneurs who wanted Jesus to be part of their business and life walk.

I moved once again in obedience and low and behold started seeing miracles.

Then He told me in so many different ways to set the captives free. I saw it in prayer, visions, written words, prophetic words spoken over me. It was everywhere.

That’s what this ministry is about. The gift of freedom as we partake of His love and goodness and how we can share this freedom with our clients, family, and community at large.

My friend Tara Eusebi, creator of the Bless App, (you should download it,) said it perfectly,

”Worldly business is about buying and selling, Kingdom business is about sowing and reaping.”

We can’t even start to sow if we don’t have a relationship with Him that gives us access to the kingdom within us. In order to do that we need to take off the old man and put on the NEW!

That is precisely what I have been commissioned to do. Help you peel off the layers and heal in His divine acceptance of you. Once it clicks, then we get into the action part of taking Him to the marketplace through you.

By the way, ministry in the marketplace isn’t just for people in business. It’s for all of us! We all interact in the marketplace daily as live our lives.

This is why I love they keys that he has given me. They work in any scenario and territory that he has placed you.

I am more determined than ever to make sure that anyone who feels they are being held captive are given the keys to their freedom in Jesus Christ, the hope of glory.
